We have the capacity to provide logging and analysis solutions and use Beamex CMX calibration software to provide consistent, quality calibrations with a secure audit trail for our customers. We also ensure critical point calibrations are completed on time to ensure compliance.
We are Blue Tick certified to provide water meter verification’s to Irrigation New Zealand standards.

Easy Installation
We can easily install our meters by fixing onto the outside of a pipe, making for a non contact measurement of the piped medium. Onsite measurements can easily be taken without a power supply because it is powered by a rechargeable battery.
Data Logging
Accumulated data can be saved. By digitizing and graphing the saved data, usage conditions can be "visualized"; leading to efficient operations.

Balancing and Troubleshooting Cooling Water Systems
The Background: Our customer installed a cooling water system for there client and needed to both balance the system and verify to the end user that the flow rates were correct.
The Problem: The installed system had no built in way of confirming the actual flow rates within itself.
The Solution: We used one of our portable clamp on ultrasonic flow meters to measure the flow at various points providing live feedback to the engineers adjusting the flow. Once the flow rates were confirmed and set we performed verification test on the live flow and issued a verification certificate.

The Background: Keeping a track of the volume of water consented for use and making sure it is accurate means we can better strike the balance between using and protecting the fresh water resources in our region.
Monitoring your water take also helps make sure you are complying with you Taranaki Regional Council consent conditions and using water resources in the most effective and efficient way.
What is a water meter verification?
This is a process where your water meter is compared to a calibrated reference meter, comparing the volume of water each meter records over a set time period. The verification process gives confidence that the meter meets the required accuracy standard (that your water meter is within 5% of the reference meter).
The Solution: Complete your water meter verification as required by your individual consent conditions.
The Taranaki Regional Council only accepts verification's carried out by the 'Blue Tick' accredited service providers which Greaves Electrical is.
All water meters that fall under the national regulations or under resource consent requirement must be verified to be accurate to within ± 5%.

Lost product in a sealed process
The Background: Our customer, a dairy products food producer suspected that they were losing some product within a part of there process.
The Problem: All the product is contained withing stainless steel piping with the inlet and outlet points separated at different ends of the production room and no form of flow measurement at either point.
The Solution: We measured and logged the flow of product at various points along there process lines during production runs. After production we downloaded the data and compared the results which highlighted a definite loss which was traced back to a faulty valve bypassing and releasing some product down to drain. The valve was repaired and the tests repeated with the result of no more lost product.
Verifying Pump Flow
The Background: Our customer is a company in the energy field seeking to ensure they are operating within their environmental consent conditions.
The Problem: The customer has a pump extracting fresh water from a nearby stream but has no way of knowing how much they are volume they are taking and at what flow rate.
The Solution: We used one of our portable ultrasonic flow meters to verify the pump capacity details and confirm to the client and the regulator that they are operating within their consent conditions. Our quick to deploy and easy to use equipment allows us to quickly survey the pumps within their plant efficiently and accurately.
