Greaves Electrical have a long and well established instrumentation division, we can deliver solid and successful instrumentation solutions, whether you require instrument installation, repair or calibration.
We use Beamex CMX calibration software to provide consistent, quality calibrations with a secure audit trail for our customers. We also ensure critical point calibrations are completed on time to ensure compliance.
Flow meter calibration is a core part of our instrumentation department, using either our 200l/s flow rig, electronic verification or ultrasonic calibration methods. We also specialise in temperature calibration for food plants to meet MAF and MPI requirements.
January 2017
We completed a project with Contact Energy to relocate the solenoid control for eight steam condensate drain valves.
This involved the initial scope and design of the new outcome with Contact. Procurement and assembly of two new control cabinets along with preparation and planning for an outage change over.
Once isolated we installed the cabinets, re routed and terminated the existing cabling, ran and secured new Swage Loc tubing to the valves and air supplies then in conjunction with Contact operators we tested and recommissioned the valves back ready for service.
Water Measurement with certification to Blue Tick Standard
The Water Measurement ‘Blue Tick’ Accreditation Program has been championed by Irrigation NZ to give irrigator’s greater certainty. Consented users are required to have their water take systems verified by an accredited company. Greaves are accredited to install, verify and provide data management services that comply with the The New Zealand Water Measurement Code of Practice and the Resource Management (Measurement and Reporting of Water Takes) Regulations 2010.
Todd Energy have multiple sites located in Tikorangi North Taranaki, these sites range from new gas drill sites to production facilities all requiring a water supply from either groundwater wells or surface takes from local streams. These takes all require a consent from the Taranaki Regional Council. Greaves Electrical was contracted by Todd Energy to verify existing meters and install and verify new meters, including automated data logging where compliance was not met.
